A born and raised Maui girl, I've always known Maui as my home. As I "grow up" and create a little 'ohana of my own, I know Maui is where my heart is. My hubby, Jeremy and I have been together for nearly 8 years. We're not "officially" married yet, but are completely content where we are. We both foresee marriage in our near future and believe it will happen when the time is right. We have 2 beautiful keiki, Nainoa (6) and Makalewa (15mo.). Nainoa will be starting Papa 'Ekahi this year. He attends Hawaiian Immersion, where children are taught through Hawaiian medium education. And Makalewa spends her days with mommy & friends. They have such different personalities, but they both bless our lives abundantly.
I am currently a work at home mommy, running my very own family child care. After achieving my AS degree in Early Childhood Education, I knew I wanted to create my own program where I would be able to share with families my passion for teaching children and the Hawaiian culture. Iwalani's Family Child Care has been in existence for 2 years now and I still consider it a work in progress. Jeremy is an Auto Body Technician and does auto body repairs. He currently works full-time and pursues "side" jobs to supplement our income.
As a young couple, we believe in working hard to provide for our 'ohana & take care of our keiki. Many of our friends can't believe we are both in our 20s. Though difficult at times, we do what needs to be done. We are blessed to have such supportive 'ohana and friends!
